Are you interested in trying CrossFit but 'need to get in shape first'? Are you intimidated by free-weight training? Do you want some extra time to learn the movements? Then our 4-session CrossFit Elements course is for you!
What is it?
Elements is a super-slow approach to learning CrossFit's foundational barbell movements. Each class is an hour long, and participants are SLOWLY guided through the movements with little or no weight. Each session concludes with a short, scalable workout.
Over the four sessions, participants will gain experience and skill using the barbell as well as other essential gym tools. After completing the course, most athletes graduate to the 'main' classes.
This is the PERFECT approach for folks who are reluctant to try CrossFit. If you're 'out of shape' or have never worked with free weights, then this is the jawn for you!
When are the sessions?
Sessions will be held on the following dates. All sessions occur at 8pm after our regular classes have finished for the day.
Monday, January 11th
Wednesday, January 13th
Monday, January 18th
Wednesday, January 20th
Additionally, participants are invited to attend our Sunday 10am Bootcamp classes on January 17th and 24th, to get a sense of how our group classes work.
How much does it cost?
The cost for the course is $90. If you decide to join for a year long membership, we will credit the $90 towards your buy-in payment (membership start date will be the 11th).
What if I can't make all of the sessions?
We look for all participants to attend at least three of the four sessions. If you can't make three, then watch our website for the next Elements series. You can also join via our 'regular' newbie process, detailed here.
