1 pound of flat iron steak
1/3 cup of ginger sesame teriyaki sauce
1 large sweet potato
1 bunch of asparagus
This recipe starts with 1 pound of flat iron steak. I marinaded it overnight in about 1/3 cup of ginger sesame teriyaki sauce that I bought from the market.
I used a grill pan to cook the steak to about rare. Then I sliced it thin and put in back in the same pan to get the sauce onto each bite and finish the cooking process. We like it medium to medium well.
Meg and I cut up 1 large sweet potato into bite sized wedges and tossed them in a bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper. Spread them onto a baking sheet and baked at 425 for about 45 mins, flipping halfway through.
About halfway through the potato roasting process, we got a bunch of asparagus, cut off the white part of the stalks, placed them on a baking sheet and drizzled olive oil, salt and pepper on them. We also sprinkled some Parmesan cheese on top. They should be finished by the time the potatoes are done, prob like 15-20 mins.
