How old are you and How long have you been doing Crossfit?
18 years old and I've been doing CrossFit for a year and a half.
How did you hear about Del Val?
Jacki brought me to DelVal for Bootcamp class cause I was trying to lose weight and get in shape.
Tell us a little bit about your Crossfit journey.
When I first started CrossFit I was around 210lbs obviously none of it muscle haha, and originally my goal was to just lose the weight and look good for the chicks ya know but that quickly changed when I realized there was more to this CrossFit thing. I started in January so when that first summer came along I wanted to push all of my chips into this whole CrossFit thing and really work hard at it. A year ago I wasn't doing RX workouts almost all of them scaled, fast forward to this year and every workout I do is RX and usually I will push to the RX+ standard.
What are a few of your short term and long term Crossfit goals?
For short term goals I really want a 200 Snatch a 300 Back Squat and a 225 Clean and Jerk. As for long term goals I want to be the fittest in the world, and I will get to that stage, I'll do whatever it takes.
We know that you are planning on taking your Level 1 in the near future. Why do you want to become a Crossfit coach?
I plan on becoming a CrossFit coach because I see the coaches that have taught me and honestly I wouldn't be where I am today without any of them. To be completely honest seeing an athlete beat me in a workout makes me way more happier for them then I even was for myself, especially if I was able to give them tips before the workout started. I also just want to help people change their lives just like the CFDV coaches did for me. Nothing better.
Tell us about a recent PR and your game plan to achieving it.
A recent PR would be my 185lb snatch. I had missed it a bunch of times but weeks after missing and missing Bobby just told me to tie my shoes and I would get it, so before the next lift I tied my shoes and nailed that snatch. #SlamBarsAndKillPr's
What is your most memorable memory at Del Val?
My most memorable moment at DelVal was getting Amy Babiak to a pr on her Snatch. She had tried going for 75lbs a couple times but missed it so I gave her some tips and stayed with her while she was attempting her next rep. Obviously she smoked the next 3 lifts rounding off the session with a 5 pound pr @ 95lbs because she's strong as hell. I'll never forget that moment cause she had it in her the whole time I was just happy I got to share that experience with her.
What workouts do you look forward to?
I look forward to any workout. Doesn't matter what it is, and obviously I'm not going to have great days all the time but those are the days that you have to continue to push. Every CrossFit workout hurts, but it doesn't hurt that much more to go a little bit faster does it?
What's one piece of advice that you would pass along To a new member or a teen who just started Crossfit?
One piece of advise would be to just stay consistent with your training. Hard work will beat talent any day of the week and I am a strong believer in that. Train smart but train hard.

One thing people prob don't know about me is that one of my favorite songs is 1000 Miles by Vanessa Carlton. That song gets me goin' man.
