How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I’ve been a member here for 6 months.
What made you want to change your eating habits?
I decided to change my eating habits because I was gaining weight, my clothes were getting tight and I was feeling sluggish.
What was the hardest habit to break?
I’d say the most difficult habit to break was evening snacking. I found myself eating because other family members were, not because I was really hungry.
Was there anything surprisingly easy to give up? Anything you just can’t live without?
I was surprised at how easy it was to give up fruit. It was a large part of my diet and I was a little worried I would be starving without it. I am currently dealing with a mild pistachio addiction. I love crunchy snacks but I know I need to tone it down to achieve my goals.
How has making these lifestyle changes affected you both in the gym and outside of the gym?
I find these changes have given me the ability to maintain the intensity of my workouts and keep up with my life. These changes have also made me aware of just how many food products contain sugar. It really has proven that preparing food at home is the best way to go. Finally, changing how I eat has really moved me closer to achieving my weight loss goals.
